Agricultural Law
  All States
What if oil from machinery is spilled on the ground?

The CWA provisions strictly regulate and prohibit the spilling of hazardous waste on farm land and into the waters of the United States. As stated above, groundwater is defined and protected as navigable waters. Farmers and ranchers who have petroleum storage tanks must insure that their tanks are secure. Any spill must be reported to the state and federal EPA agency.
